And Farhop never writes down a precise coordinate. Locations are rounded to roughly a kilometre before anything is saved, on your own phone included. Not masked. Not hidden behind a setting you can turn off. Never written in the first place.
Which means a breach, a subpoena, or a bad day at our hosting provider yields place names, dates, and kilometre-wide squares. No coordinate more precise than that exists to hand over. The only thing that ever leaves the phone about a place is that rounded cell, sent to Apple Maps to ask what the place is called.
